Easy Pita Bread Recipe

  • 300g plain flour
  • 1tsp dried yeast
  • 1tsp salt
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 175ml warm water
  1. Add the yeast, sugar, salt and water in a jug and mix until it dissolves.
  2. Cover with cling film for around 15 minutes.
  3. Mix the flour together with the yeast water.
  4. When combined, knead for 5 minutes.
  5. Place in a bowl and cover with cling film for one hour so it can double in size.
  6. Flour the side slightly and divide the risen ball into 8.
  7. Flatten and roll each pita bread out.
  8. Bake in a hot oven at 220 'C for 3 minutes as they bubble.
