Did you get socks for Christmas? Didn’t need another pair?
Why not cash in with your socks and trade them in at GAME – earning £2 store credit a pair!!
Trade in your socks
Forget eBay, don’t even think about going near Gumtree or Facebook Marketplace!
GAME is now your port of call to get rid of your stuff…..but only if it’s socks!
The video game retailer will re-home any of your unwanted Christmas socks in exchange for £2 store credit as part of the first-ever New Year Sock Swap.
Apparently, over 25% of Brits don’t want socks for Christmas, and it’s their least desired present.
And, a whopping £5 billion a year gets wasted on unwanted gifts.
But, you know who does want those socks? Homeless shelters.
Instead of your socks sitting unwanted in the back on a drawer, or getting throw in the bin, trade them in at GAME.
In exchange for your socks, when you trade in a game, you’ll get an extra £2 trade value. And your socks will reach people who actually want them.
Please just make sure that the socks are new and unworn! Otherwise, that’d be a bit icky!!
Even the GAME Westwood Cross store tweeted: “Please, no cheese.”
The Sock Swap promotion grants you a bonus on your trade-in and helps someone in need.
I cannot emphasise enough on the socks being new and unworn.
Please, no cheese.

GAME has teamed up with the YMCA to ensure that each pair of socks collected will be donated on to homeless charities all over the country.
You could also earn an extra £15 when you donate unused socks and trade in tablets, phone or consoles.
This offer is running until 6th February 2020.
What do you need to know?
Please remember, don’t show up with stinky socks – this is for new, clean and tagged socks.
You will also need to trade in a PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch software title at the same time, and this will give you an extra £2 of in store credit.
There are some games excluded from the trade in.
A few of them include FIFA 18, PES 2018, WWE 2K18 or any previous iterations in the same franchises and Destiny 2, and any games that have a trade in value of 1p (it’s best to check with staff for a full list).
This offer is running in store only for GAME Reward Card holders (more info here about how to sign up).
