Asda has recalled a children’s pop-up tent after a safety issue was found with its zip closure.

Parents and carers who have the Asda Kidz Pop Up Tent – Bear are being told to stop using it immediately and keep it out of reach of children.
The official product recall was published by the Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) on 5 October 2026.

The recall affects the Asda Kidz Pop Up Tent – Bear.

Why has the Asda bear tent been recalled?
The OPSS says the tent presents an entrapment risk because its zip closure may allow someone to become trapped inside during use.
The product does not meet the requirements of the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.
Asda’s own recall notice also says the tent does not comply with relevant toy safety regulations and can pose an entrapment risk because of the zip closure.
What should parents do now?
