Amazon is running an Audible free trial which gets you 30 days of free access to 150,000+ best sellers as well as giving away a free audiobook which you can keep when the trial ends (even if you cancel!).

Sometimes there just isn’t enough time to read a book. I really love reading but don’t really get enough time to fit in in any more. Any of my “spare” time seems to be put towards sorting out the kids, cooking or sleeping!
Instead of missing out on books altogether, audiobooks are a good way to still get access to books, without the need to hold one. “Reading” with an audiobook means that I can carry on with my normal routine and get to listen to a book at the same time. So whether cooking, exercising or doing the school run, I still get to catch up with a good book.

What is Audible?
Audible has the world’s largest selection of digital audiobooks and spoken word content.
There is a huge selection of audiobooks that you can get hold of; whether it’s brand new releases like Shade of Grey (oh err!), thrillers, celebrity biographies, learning a language or business books, there is something for everyone.

Who can get the free trial?
The free 30 day Audible trial is open to everyone as long as you haven’t taken a free trial within 12 months on the account or credit card you are registering with.
As part of this free trial you get:
- 30 days of free access to Audible
- one free audiobook
- access to 150,000+ best sellers, new releases, sci-fi, romances, mysteries, classics, and more
- Audible members save up to 70%.
How can I listen to the audiobooks?
There is a dedicated free Audible app that you can download from the Apple iStore, on Android, or on Windows Smartphone or tablet.
If you have a Kindle Fire, your Audible purchases will be waiting in the “Audiobooks” tab.

What happens at the end of the Audible free trial?
At the end of the 30-day trial, you either need to cancel it so you don’t get charged or you can continue under a paid monthly subscription.
If you cancel, you will still get to keep any of the audiobooks you have downloaded (including the free one). You need to make sure you cancel a couple of days before the end of the month otherwise you will get charged.
After the first free month, if you want to carry on with Audible, you will get one book a month for £7.99 (a massive discount on the RRP) or you could have two books a month for £14.99 – it really depends how much you’ll use it.
