Asda toy sale

🗓️ Predicted date: Monday, 8 September 2025

Asda’s toy rollback is a favourite among bargain hunters. While the exact offers vary each year, you can expect big discounts on brands like LEGO, Barbie, and Play-Doh. Stock can vanish quickly, so shop early for the best picks.

Argos toy sale

🗓️ Predicted date: Wednesday, 10 September 2025

Argos no longer has its massive “342 toys” event, but we still expect some big savings this September. Keep your eyes peeled for bundle deals and clearance prices on popular toys.

Tesco 50% off toy sale

🗓️ Predicted date: Monday, 15 September 2025

Tesco’s half price toy sale is always hugely popular. With so many big-name brands included, expect shelves to clear quickly. If you’ve got a Clubcard, you might even unlock extra savings.

Aldi Specialbuys toy event

🗓️ Predicted date: Sunday, 21 September 2025

Aldi’s Specialbuys toy sale is always a winner, especially if you’re after wooden toys, puzzles, or STEM sets. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, so set yourself a reminder to shop on launch day.

Morrisons toy event

🗓️ Predicted date: Monday, 29 September 2025

Morrisons’ big toy event is in-store only and usually offers discounts of up to 50% off. It’s one of the earliest sales, so it’s worth making a note to head in-store before stock runs low.

Sainsbury’s half price toy sale

🗓️ Predicted date: Wednesday, 22 October 2025

The famous Sainsbury’s half price toy sale usually kicks off in mid-October, and this year it’s predicted for 22 October. With prices slashed by up to 50%, it’s a perfect chance to grab Christmas presents without the festive price tag.

Smyths Toys sale

🗓️ Voucher code event: Tuesday, 18 November 2025
🗓️ Half price sale: Friday, 3 October 2025

Smyths is one to watch: not only do they have a voucher code event in November, but their half price toy sale in early October is one of the biggest of the year. Great for grabbing the hottest toys before they sell out elsewhere.

Skint Dad’s top tips for saving on toys

  • Plan ahead – Get the kids to make a list now (use the 4 Christmas gift rule)
  • Set reminders – Pop all these dates in your calendar so you don’t miss the best deals.
  • Sign up for loyalty cards – Tesco Clubcard and Nectar points can give you extra savings.
  • Compare prices – Don’t assume every “sale” is the cheapest; check other retailers too.
  • Shop early – Toy sales sell out fast. If you want the top picks, act quickly.
  • Don’t stress – If you’re struggling to afford Christmas, there are places that can help.

Skint Dad says…

The earlier you start, the more you’ll save. Toy prices creep up closer to Christmas, so grab the bargains now and thank yourself later.
