For whatever reason you want to let your old car go, there two keys questions that people worry about:

  • How long is it going to take to sell?
  • How much is it going to cost to sell?

When you want to sell your car, you generally want it gone quickly. Otherwise, it’s just sitting there potentially doing nothing and you’re still having to tax and insure it (you could always SORN it).

Then there’s the factor of money. The longer you have the car, the less time you’ll have with the money for it in your pocket.

Plus, when it comes to selling a car, you’re going to need to advertise it which also costs money. The longer you advertise the car, the more money you’ll have to pay out for adverts, leaving you down on cash until it goes.

On the bright side, what if there was a way to sell your car for free?

Well, there is!

Sell your car for free

When it comes to selling your car, provided it has a value of less than £1,000 then you’re able to sell it absolutely free on Autotrader.

It’s really easy to sell your car on Autotrader. In fact, there are just three steps:

1. Enter your reg and the cars mileage

2. Price your car at £1,000 or less

3. List your advert for FREE!

While a free advert sounds great you’re actually getting a whole heap of value!

As well as getting a reach of 850,000 buyers on their website, when you advertise with Autotrader your advert will also appear on MSN Cars, Top Gear and The Telegraph.

So, not only do you have peace of mind that you’re getting a bargain, but you’ll know that your car will get seen by people who are going to want to buy it.

Not sure how much your car is worth?

Not a problem!

You can find that out too.

Use their free car valuation tool to work out how much your car could fetch for.

Simply enter your car registration number and the estimated mileage and they can work out the value based on analysis of the 400,000 used car listings, on checking 3,500 dealer websites, looking at price data from car auctions, as well as fleet and leasing disposal prices.

So what are you waiting for: need to sell your car and don’t want to pay? Then head over to Autotrader and get your car in front of the 850,000 people looking at cars.
