Tesco Clubcard Christmas Savers deadline tonight for up to £12 bonus

by Ricky Willis · published 25 October 2026 at 18:46 · updated 25 October 2026 at 18:46

Tesco shoppers have until 11.59pm tonight, Sunday 25 October 2026, to top up their Clubcard Christmas Savers account and qualify for up to £12 in bonus vouchers.

Entrance to Tesco Superstore on West Cromwell Road in London

You’ll need to add £200 of your own money to get the maximum £12 bonus, although smaller top-ups also qualify for a reward.

Your top-up money and bonus will be sent as Tesco vouchers in November, ready for Christmas shopping.

New users can currently get a bonus when they sign up.

How much do you need to save?

The bonus is based on the total amount of your own money you have topped up before the deadline:

Amount topped upBonus voucher
£25–£49.99£1.50
£50–£99.99£3
£100–£199.99£6
£200–£360£12

You only need to save £200 for the full £12 bonus. Adding more will not increase it.

If you’ve been topping up throughout the year, check your balance before adding more. For example, if you’ve already saved £195, adding £5 before tonight’s deadline would increase your bonus from £6 to £12.

Normal Clubcard points do not count towards these top-up amounts. Check the official Tesco bonus rules for the full details.

How to top up before the deadline

You must have a Tesco Clubcard and be signed up to the Christmas Savers scheme.

If you are not enrolled, sign in to your Clubcard account and choose Voucher schemes → Clubcard Christmas Savers. In the Tesco app, you can find this under Clubcard management → Voucher schemes.

  1. Open the Christmas Savers section in the Tesco app or your Clubcard account online.
  2. Choose Top up now, enter the amount and complete checkout.
  3. Check your savings summary to make sure the payment has been added.

You must join and complete your top-up by 11.59pm on Sunday 25 October 2026.

What’s the catch?

The main thing to know is that your own top-up money comes back as Tesco vouchers, not cash. The same applies to the bonus.

You can use top-up and bonus vouchers on eligible Tesco shopping in-store, online or on fuel, but you cannot exchange them for Clubcard Reward Partner deals.

Some products are excluded, including gift cards, tobacco and lottery tickets.

  • Top-up vouchers: valid for two years from issue.
  • Bonus vouchers: valid for three months from issue.

If you leave the scheme before the deadline, Tesco says you will lose the bonus and receive your top-up value on a Tesco money card in November. That money card cannot be used online.

Also, normal Clubcard vouchers earned while you are in the Christmas Savers scheme are held for your November statement rather than being available during the year.

Skint Dad says:

I like the idea of getting an extra £12 for money you were already going to spend.

But I wouldn’t put £200 into Tesco just to get the bonus. You’re giving up the freedom to spend that money elsewhere, and £12 isn’t worth it if you’re left short for bills or end up paying more for your shopping.
