Aldi is seeking new recruits to join them as Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officers. Just imagine adding CEEO to your CV!
Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officers
Aldi has relaunched its search this year to find eager chocolate lovers who want the opportunity to eat chocolate!
Three roles are available, and each lucky successful candidate will receive an abundance of Aldi’s new Easter eggs.
While you won’t get paid in cash, you will receive enough chocolate to see you through Easter!
What’s the job?
TL;DR: You will eat chocolate.
In a bit more detail, you will be sent a range of Aldi’s new Easter egg range, and you will share your thoughts with them on the taste, texture and appearance of what you sample. This is a home-based role.
This year’s Aldi range includes a Dairyfine Peanut Butter Surprise Egg, Rocky Road Drizzle Egg, and the fabulously decadent Wildflower Egg, hand decorated with an edible pearl.
Your feedback will help guide them on what they’ll include in the Easter range next year.
Any previous experience or requirements needed?
You’ve got to love Easter Eggs (and chocolate, of course).
You will also need a camera (a smartphone will do) to create a short audition video. It only needs to be around a minute long.
You’ll need to share why you should be chosen for the sweetest job in the world.
If you’re not into chocolate, did you know there is an Aldi Wine Club, where they recruit people each year to drink wine for free?!
Who can apply?
Anyone, of any age.
It’s open to all residents in the UK who love chocolate.
How do I apply?
You need to record a video of up to one minute, which includes examples of your favourite Aldi chocolate.
Perhaps add a sweet tale about why you’re better for the job than others.
Make sure you also mention your name and age.
Then, email the video to aldichiefeggofficer@clarioncomms.co.uk with the subject line “Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officer”.
Further details and terms and conditions are on the CEEO web page.
This is the third year Aldi has run this job offer.
In previous years, Hallie McIntosh, 10, from Fife, became one of Aldi’s Chief Easter Egg Tasting Officers after impressing judges with her Willy Wonka impersonation.
Connor Ewujowoh, 10, from Sunderland, used his video application to describe Aldi’s Caramel Crunch and Jive Bars as his favourite ever chocolate.
And NHS worker Dawn Hill from Basingstoke used her audition clip to give honest reviews of Aldi’s chocolate range.
What happens next?
You need to get your application in before the deadline of 15th March 2023!
If you’re successful, you will receive your stash of Aldi Easter chocolate from 20th March.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi, said:
“Recruiting a panel of egg tasters provides us with a fantastic opportunity to engage with real Aldi shoppers. The feedback we have gathered from past chocolate lovers has been invaluable in helping our buying team curate this year’s Easter range, which boasts an exciting range of new shapes, colours and flavour combinations.”
