Build-A-Bear Workshop is launching it’s first ever Pay Your Age Day on Thursday, 12 July 2018!
At first, I didn’t think this was much good.
For starters, you can pick up some bears online for just £10.
As I’m in my 30s, why on earth would I bother paying £30+ for a bear when I can just pay the RRP and get it cheaper….but then I realised!
Just because you’re the one paying doesn’t mean you need to pay your own age.
Have a child who’s one year old?
Have a niece/nephew or friend’s kid you can borrow for a few hours?
Take them with you to a Build-A-Bear store and you can pay their age for a new furry friend.
Instead of paying £25 or more for a new teddy, if your little one is 4 years old then you will just pay £4!
How does it work?

To get a mega cheap Build-A-Bear you need to be a member of their Bonus Club reward scheme.
It’s free to join and only takes a few minutes. You can do it online here or you can just sign up in store.
You can get one ted per person and the minimum price is £1. So, if you’ve got a newborn baby and want to pay for 0.1 of a year, you’ll still need to pay £1.
This offer is running in-store only but applies to their whole range of bears and different characters, including Pokémon, Star Wars, Jurassic World, My Little Pony and Marvel.
You don’t need to take an ID to prove your age, but if you look 50 and try to pass off as a 5-year-old, they may raise their eyebrows.
If you cannot find a child to go with you, Build-A-Bear has made a brilliant promise to their older paying guests.
On 12 July, no matter what your “real” age, when you’re in a Build-A-Bear Workshop they will say you’re 25 years old.
So, if you’re 55 and see a bear for £35, you won’t pay your real age or £35. You will pay your new age of 25 (£25).
Here’s a thought: if you’re born on 29 February then chances are you’re not “officially” very old at all…..would you try it?
This offer is just for getting a cheaper bear. Any clothing or accessories are sold separately at their marked price.
