Here’s How to Get Free McDonalds Fries This Friday

by Ricky Willis · updated 20 November 2019

For one day only, you’re able to get French fries from McDonald’s absolutely free at hundreds of their restaurants across the UK.

McDonalds Fries

This Friday (22 November 2019) you will be able to get a free portion of medium fries from McDonald’s. This is a one day only offer.

£10 sign-up bonus available.

Swagbucks lets you earn rewards in your spare time by answering surveys, watching videos, and playing simple games.

If you fancy giving it a go, new users can get a £10 bonus when they join.

See how Swagbucks works

Usually priced at £1.09, the only catch (if you can call it that) is that you need to order them via the McDonald’s app.

The app is free to download from the Apple iStore and Google Play store, and it takes about a minute to sign up for an account.

The free French fries offer is available to both new and existing McDonald’s app users.

How do you get the free fries?

Within the app, there is a “Deals” tab which will show all your offers. The free fries offer will only be there on Friday itself.

You will need to wait until after 10:30 am after the breakfast menu finishes, and then you can place an order.

When it comes to getting your chips, pick the offer, and then checkout.

You will need to choose which McDonald’s restaurant you want to collect the fries from (they won’t deliver), although you can pick table service (depending on which restaurant you’re in).

There’s no need to order anything else along with the fries, so they will be completely free!

As an extra bonus, if you’re new to using the app, you’ll also be greeted with a free cheeseburger too. You could pretty much have lunch for free!

You can only order one portion per person.

It’s not the first time McDonald’s has given away free chips – or any other food for that matter.

At the beginning of November, they ran an offer where you could get a Big Mac for just 99p!

I’ve heard a rumour these offers are part of a new deals menu coming for 2020 – let’s see what happens!

Some stores aren’t taking part

Unfortunately, not all stores are taking part (but the vast majority of them are).

With over 1,000 McDonald’s restaurant, just over 100 won’t be running the free fries offer.

Also remember, that this is running subject to availability. So, if there’s a run on the fries, you may miss out!
