Don’t just go shopping – please!
Save yourself some cash!
Making a list and checking it twice is not just for Father Christmas. While making a list of what you want to get on sale is a must, there are a number of extra things you can do to make sure you don’t lose out on a bargain this Black Friday.
Shop around
While this may sound obvious, it’s really worth thinking about and many of you don’t do this (tut, tut!).
I know when you’re short on time (shopping via a sneaky break at work) and you want to grab a deal when you see it, it’s not wise to shop quick.
For instance, we all know you can get an Amazon Echo from….no drum roll needed….Amazon.
But other shops sell them too.
For Black Friday, they have reduced the price to just on an Echo to £34.99.
Great deal, hey?
Well no actually.
EVERYWHERE is selling Amazon Echo’s and you can get a better bargain, by buying one from another retailer and using a voucher code to make a bigger saving!
Reserve NOW
Don’t wait until one minute past midnight to get a deal. While there are a few people worried they’ll miss out as items will sell out, there is a way to make sure you bag your bargain!
Add items to your trolley and reserve them.
Retailers like Argos, Currys and PC World allow you to reserve items for store collect without having to pay up front.
This way, when you head to store, you’ll just pay when you collect – which could be at a heavily discounted Black Friday sale price.
Forget Black Friday
Don’t just wait until the big Black Friday day itself! There are deals taking place right NOW and deals will also be running through until Cyber Monday.
You’re able to take this time to work out what you need and what you want.
Remember, if you do miss out, there will be more sales come Boxing Day.
Be social
Make sure you get on social media to hunt out any price glitches or any deals released later in the day.
Turn on Facebook notifications to the shops you want to find deals at so they appear at the top of your time line (you can always turn the off the next day).
Be sure to follow MyVoucherCodes on Facebook and deal hunter pages too so you won’t miss a trick.
Don’t use a basket
If you’re shopping in store, forget the clunky metal basket (and even the trolley).
Provided you’ve made that important list so you don’t impulse buy, head straight to the deal you want armed with a big Ikea bag.
They are light weight and won’t get in the way as you manoeuvre around other customers, or get you caught in a trolley traffic jam!
Just remember, try not to get caught up in the hype. If you can’t afford it then please just cancel your basket and don’t go to checkout.
If you can afford it, please get a good discount, cause there’s no reason why you should pay more!
