McDonald’s 3 for £3 mix and match meal deal

by Naomi Willis · updated 19 August 2024

McDonald’s meal deal allows you to mix and match the menu to get three items for £3. But is it actually a good deal?

Maybe I’m showing my age, but I remember when McDonald’s offered a pound saver menu (or some similar name).

You could pick different items for just a quid, which worked out cheaper than a standard meal deal.

Those days are long gone, as the same items slowly went up in price, but now they’re starting a more “budget-friendly” way to get fast food for less!

McDonald’s 3 for £3 deal

The first launch was in May 2024, and the deal is back running from 31 July to 27 August 2024.

You can pick three items from their cheaper menu for £3 when you get them in store.

You must choose three items, but you can mix and match what you want.

The items are on the main menu, so you must order after 11 AM.

Menu items include:

  • Cheeseburger (usual price £1.39)
  • Hamburger (usual price £1.19)
  • Mayo Chicken (usual price £1.39)
  • Four Chicken Nuggets (not priced at this size)
  • Small Fries (usual price £1.19)
  • Apple Pie (usual price £1.69)
  • Two Veggie Dippers (not priced at this size)
  • Side Salad (usual price £1.09)

Based on the prices of our local, for a burger, fries and an apple pie, we’d save a whopping £1.17.

(Prices can vary on location, so you could end up saving more, and you may have to pay extra for delivery on top.)

Keep a look out this summer – we expect McDonald’s Monopoly will be back, which is great for winning free food and prizes.
