Quality Street Monopoly Christmas giveaway offers £20,580 prize and 1 million Tesco vouchers

by Ricky Willis · published 2 November 2026 at 06:41 · updated 2 November 2026 at 06:41

Quality Street and Monopoly have teamed up for a Christmas giveaway, giving shoppers the chance to win a £20,580 cash prize, limited-edition Monopoly games and one of a million Tesco shopping vouchers.

The competition opened on 1 November 2026, with shoppers also able to win cash prizes and limited-edition Monopoly games.

But before rushing out to buy a tub, it’s worth knowing that almost all the Tesco vouchers are worth just £1, and winning isn’t guaranteed.

How much could you win in Tesco vouchers?

There are one million Tesco e-vouchers available during the main competition, worth between £1 and £50.

According to Nestlé’s official competition terms, the prizes are:

Voucher valueNumber available
£1992,750
£55,000
£101,500
£25500
£50250

That means more than 99% of the vouchers are worth £1.

The prizes are awarded through randomly selected winning moments, so there’s no guarantee you’ll win. Not every available prize will necessarily be claimed either.

How to enter the Quality Street Monopoly competition

You’ll need to buy a specially marked 550g Quality Street tub featuring the Monopoly ‘Take a Chance’ promotion.

Inside the tub is a Chance Card containing a unique code.

If you’ve bought the tub from a participating Tesco store or through Tesco online, you can enter the Tesco voucher giveaway as well as the main national competition.

Here’s what to do:

  1. Keep your promotional tub, Chance Card and receipt, or proof of your online purchase.
  2. Visit the Quality Street Tesco competition page, or scan the QR code on your Tesco Chance Card.
  3. Enter your name, email address, county, country and unique code.

You’ll find out on screen whether you’ve won an instant prize.

The competition is open to residents aged 18 and over in the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

You’re allowed one entry per person per day, and each entry needs a different promotional tub, Chance Card and receipt.

There are also limits on how many prizes of each type can be won by the same person or household.

If you bought a promotional tub before 1 November, you can still enter during the main competition, provided you kept everything needed to prove your purchase.

Tubs bought from other participating retailers can qualify for the national prizes, but you’ll need a qualifying Tesco purchase to enter the Tesco voucher giveaway.

Important catches with the Tesco vouchers

If you’re lucky enough to win a voucher, there are some rules worth knowing.

The vouchers can only be spent in Tesco stores in the UK and Isle of Man. They cannot be used for online shopping or at Tesco petrol stations.

You’ll also need a smartphone and internet access to activate your voucher.

And here’s the important bit: once you activate it, you have just 30 minutes to use it.

So don’t activate your voucher at home before heading to Tesco. Wait until you’re ready to pay at the checkout.

The voucher must be spent in one transaction, and you won’t get any change if your shopping comes to less than its value.

It also cannot be exchanged for cash or used alongside another offer, according to the competition rules.

If you win £1, £5 or £10, you’ll receive an activation link by email.

For the larger £25 and £50 vouchers, Nestlé may ask for proof of identity or address. You’ll have 14 days to respond to the winning notification and provide the required information.

What other prizes can you win?

The Tesco giveaway is part of a bigger competition between Quality Street and Monopoly.

Shoppers with qualifying promotional tubs can also enter for:

  • One £20,580 cash prize, awarded through a prize draw.
  • 2,360 instant cash prizes worth between £5 and £500.
  • 5,000 limited-edition Monopoly: Quality Street Edition games.

The £20,580 top prize represents the amount of money in a traditional Monopoly bank.

According to Nestlé’s announcement, the special Monopoly board has eight sides, inspired by the shape of the Quality Street tub, with sweet-themed locations.

Anyone who enters the qualifying Tesco promotion is also automatically entered into the national competition, including the draw for the £20,580 prize.

When does the competition end?

The main competition closes at 11.59pm on 31 December 2026.

If you win a Tesco voucher during this period, you must activate it through the link in your winning email before 28 February 2027.

There are two further draws for late entries:

  • Entries from 1 to 31 January 2027 go into the first late draw.
  • Entries from 1 February to 30 April 2027 go into the second late draw.

Each late draw offers 50 Tesco vouchers worth £5 and 50 cash prizes worth £50.

The Tesco vouchers from these draws expire on 31 March and 30 June 2027 respectively.

Late entries cannot win the original £20,580 jackpot.

Skint Dad says:

One million Tesco vouchers sounds impressive, but only 7,250 of them are worth more than £1.

That’s why I wouldn’t buy extra tubs of Quality Street just to increase your chances of winning.

If you’re already planning to buy some for Christmas, then it’s worth entering your code. But spending more money chasing a prize that isn’t guaranteed could leave you worse off.

And even if you win a voucher, you’ll need to make sure you can actually use it.
