Smyths Toys has started its Black Friday sale early, with more than 150 toys and games reduced ahead of Christmas.
The sale includes popular brands such as Nintendo, Pokémon, Bluey and Monster Jam, with some toys reduced by £10 or more.
Smyths also has a separate range of toys with discounts of up to 50%.
We’ve checked the prices and picked out five offers worth looking at if you’re still shopping for Christmas presents.
Five Smyths Toys deals worth checking
Here are five of the offers we found, starting with the cheapest.
Bluey Police Car with figure – £13.49
This set comes with a police car, figure, flashing lights and siren sounds.
At £13.49, it’s one of the cheaper branded toys we’ve picked out from the Black Friday sale.
Nintendo Super Mario Holiday Advent Calendar – £19.99
If you’ve got a Mario fan at home, this could be a fun alternative to a chocolate advent calendar.
It’s reduced by 20%, although you’ll need to factor in delivery if you’re buying it on its own.
Monster Jam Chomping Megalodon remote-control truck – £24.99
Previously £34.99 – saving £10.
The remote-control shark truck has three action modes, including wheelies and spinning.
Smyths also shows an older price of £44.99, but we’re comparing the offer against its more recent £34.99 price.
Pokémon Sleeping Pikachu plush, 45cm – £24.99
This large sleeping Pikachu soft toy is included in the Black Friday sale.
Smyths is also showing Eevee, Snorlax and Mew versions at the same reduced price, giving Pokémon fans a few options.
Bluey 3-in-1 Transforming Plane Playset – £29.99
This is the biggest advertised saving in our selection.
The plane transforms into a holiday resort and boat, with Bluey and Bingo figures and 15 accessories included.
However, this toy is in Smyths’ separate half-price range, rather than its main Black Friday selection.
When we checked, Very had the same set reduced to £34.99, making Smyths £5 cheaper before delivery charges.
You can browse the Smyths Black Friday sale and its separate half-price toy offers online.
Are the Smyths Black Friday deals actually cheaper?
Some of the reductions are worth considering, particularly if the toys are already on your child’s Christmas list.
But don’t assume the biggest percentage discount means the best price.
Take the Bluey plane. Smyths advertises a £30 saving, but compared with Very’s current £34.99 offer, the difference is £5.
That doesn’t make the Smyths price a bad deal. It just shows why checking another retailer is worthwhile before buying.
And it’s worth checking the final cost, including delivery.
How much is Smyths delivery?
Smyths offers free standard delivery on eligible orders over £20.
For smaller orders, standard delivery costs £2.99 for orders between £10 and £20, or £4.99 for orders under £10.
For example, buying the £19.99 Mario advent calendar on its own would cost £22.98 with standard delivery.
Free Click & Collect is also available, usually within two hours, where your chosen store has stock.
Large or bulky items may have different delivery charges.
When does the Smyths Black Friday sale end?
Smyths hasn’t confirmed an overall closing date on its current Black Friday sale page.
Black Friday itself falls on Friday 27 November 2026, but there’s no guarantee these particular prices will remain available until then.
Offers and stock can change, so check availability at your local store or online before buying.
Skint Dad says:
One thing worth knowing is that Smyths has two different sale sections running.
Its Black Friday range contains more than 150 products, while some of the half-price toys are listed separately.
So, if you’re looking for something specific, it’s worth checking both rather than assuming the Black Friday page has every discounted toy.
And before buying, compare the price elsewhere. The saving that matters is how much less you’re paying for the toy you actually want, not the percentage on the sale sign.
