Tesco issues urgent recall of chocolate bars due to undeclared peanuts

by Naomi Willis · updated 10 June 2024

Tesco is recalling two types of its multipack chocolate bars because they contain peanuts, which are not mentioned on the label.

This can be dangerous for anyone with a peanut allergy.

The Food Standards Agency have said, “The products contain peanuts making them a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to peanuts.”

If you have bought these chocolate bars, do not eat them.

Return them to any Tesco store for a full refund.

You won’t need to have your receipt.

For more information, you can contact Tesco Customer Services on 0800 505 555.

Why this matters

Food recalls happen when there’s a problem with a food product that could harm people.

This recall is due to missing allergy information, which can be very serious for those with allergies.
