Poundland started as a £1 store in 1990 and has since grown with over 800 stores, selling a range of 3,000 items from £1 and up.
As a discount retailer, you can pick up pretty much most things in store with good value for money.
Poundland is now offering an online store to selected postcodes as part of a pilot.
Here’s everything you need to know.
Can I buy everything that I would from store?
Poundland is not offering a full range of items on its online store.
However, there is a large selection of some of their most popular products.
This includes stuff from just £1, plus other more expensive things. Items won’t cost anymore online than they do in store.
You can pick up their latest products and ranges, food and drink, health and beauty, entertainment and DIY, home accessories from their PEP&CO range, household and pet supplies, stationery and crafts and things for the garden.
If the stock sells out, it will show as “out of stock”, but will be replenished in the store.
Does Poundland sell PEP&CO clothing online?
While they are selling a wide range of items and some items from PEP&CO Home, they are not planning to sell PEP&CO clothing online.
The online shopping is currently a trial with limited postcodes, so adding clothing could be something that changes in the future.
Is there a minimum spend with the Poundland online shop?
You can shop for £1 items and there is no minimum spend.
Although, you do need to pay for delivery.
Delivery is charged at a flat rate of £4 and will be sent out via Hermes.
So, if you order one item, you will pay £4 for delivery, but if you manage to spend £100 on items you will still pay £4 for delivery.
Your order will be delivered in 3 – 4 working days.
What postcodes do Poundland deliver to?
Unfortunately, Poundland is not delivering to the whole of the UK.
When Poundland first started selling online, there were around 1.8 million shoppers who could get delivery. This has since been extended.
The launch saw shoppers in Birmingham, Derby, Dudley, Stoke on Trent, Walsall and Wolverhampton who might be able to shop with them online.
Since the first online trial, more postcodes have been added including for customers in Coventry, Leicester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Telford.
I can see more places being added should their online store as the pilot continues to be successful.
Here is where they are currently delivering to:
- CV
- DE
- DY
- LE
- NG
- S1-99
- ST
- TF
- WS
- WV
Launch postcodes included 133 different places (B1-98, WS1-15, WV1-98, DE1-75, DY1-14, ST1-21).
Does Poundland offer click and collect?
The new Poundland online shopping is for items to be delivered only.
Items sold via their website are for delivery and there is no click and collect service in stores.

Well done poundland what a fantastic idea to do delivery’s. As a disabled person this will be perfect and would give it a try.
Theresa says
I am glad it was included that delivery is by Hermes. I will go without (anything, from anywhere) if that is the only delivery option. Their record can be atrocious.
It would also be nice if this online ‘trial’ included areas in Scotland.
So short answer, no I won’t be buying online
