Co-op Christmas meal deal

The last time there was a Co-op meal deal was in 2017.

Co-op has confirmed there will be no Christmas Dinner Meal Deal within Frozen for 2019 via their Twitter feed.

However, they went on to confirm that they would be repeating the Pizza Frozen Meal Deal which they had in Christmas 2018.

This year, you can get a turkey joint and stuffing, a selection of veg, Yorkshire puddings and a dessert all for £10.

Saving over 50%, you will be able to feed a family of four at just £2.50 a head.

Whether you want to add the food to your freezer for another time, or this is your Christmas dinner sorted, you know you’re getting a bargain.

What’s included?

Here’s everything you get as part of the deal and the usual selling prices:

coop turkey breast joint meal deal offer

Turkey Breast Joint With Sage And Onion Stuffing Balls and Topped with Bacon 962g – £10.00

McCain Roast Potatoes 800G – £2.19

Aunt Bessie’s 12 4 Minute Yorkshire Puddings 220g – £1.75

Aunt Bessies Honey Glazed Roast Parsnips 500g – £1.99

Co-op Button Sprouts 750g – £1.00

Co-op British Garden Peas 400g – £1.00

Viennetta Box Mint 1000ml – £2.49

You can see you get a lot for your money!

If you bought all the food separately it would cost you £20.42, meaning you’ll save over 50% on the price!

The meal deal will be available in stores from 13 December 2017 until 3 January 2018, according to the Sun (so may be perfect for a New Year dinner too, if you’re not already sick of turkey!).

Make more savings at Co-op

There is always a saving to be had when shopping at Co-op.

Co-op membership card

If you don’t have a Co-Op Membership Card then now is the time to sign up for one.

It does cost £1 to sign up, but you can get 5% cashback when you buy Co-op branded products, plus 5% is donated to a local charity.

Using the card just on food purchases means you could get up to £1 back for every £20 you spend on Co-op branded food.

Use the card throughout the year as you shop and you’ll continue to see the cashback add up, then use it in store to get money off.

You could spend the points to get a loaf of bread, a bar of chocolate, or why not save them up and get next year’s Christmas Meal Deal for free?

As an extra bonus, all members are entitled to a cash share of any profits, paid as a dividend. The amount you get depends on how many points you’ve collected at Co-op through the year.

Co-op app

The Co-op app also allows you to save more.

The app offers personalised offers each week to save you money on your food shop.

It’s not weird or obscure stuff, but things you might buy anyway like fresh fruit, bread or yoghurts (to name a few on there this week).

You’re able to select two offers per week, and the offers refresh each Monday.

You will need to remember to take your membership card with you to get the discount as there isn’t a digital version on the app at the moment as the tills cannot scan the phone screen.

However, your membership number is shown in the app, so this could be written in manually, if needed, to claim your rewards.

10% discount

Remember, if you have a student NUS discount card (or you have a student home for Christmas), make sure to take the card along as you can get an extra 10% off the price.

For this deal alone, you’d pay just £9 for a roast dinner.
