Would you wear Lidl by Lidl? New clothing range in store soon!

by Naomi Willis · updated 10 September 2021

There seems to be an ongoing argument about which store is better: Aldi or Lidl? But, can you wear your favourite supermarket’s merch?

And do you even want to?

Well, that question is no longer something you need to worry about (cause I’m sure it played on your mind up until now).

From Thursday 16 September, you can pick up official Lidl clothing in the middle of Lidl.

Here’s what you can pick up in their new Lidl by Lidl clothing range.

Little by little (you see what I did there), this range is sure to make a statement.

Starting at just 99p, any Lidl fan can now own a piece of Lidl branded clothing.

The range includes adult-sized trainers for £12.99, tending sports socks, men’s swimming shorts and a foldable shopping bag.

The clothing is brightly coloured in the usual blue, red and yellow Lidl branding, with their logos featuring on all the products.

The budget-friendly socks sell for £1.49, the swimming shorts for £4.99, and the reusable bag costs just 99p.

This isn’t the first time they’ve sold merch, and it’s always popular. Plus, people buy extra to get sold on eBay for tonnes of money.

Because the middle of Lidl is limited stock and “when it’s gone, it’s gone”, you’ll find the range considered to be “rare”.

This can mean people bump up their resale value, and items can fetch a higher price on selling sites.

As just one example, you can currently pick up a pair of £12.99 (RRP) Lidl trainers for nearly £40!

I suppose it’s one way to make money online!

Will you try and cash in when the range hits the stores from 16th September, or will you be holding onto your purchases and wearing them with pride?

Hopefully, customers won’t think people wearing the merch will look like they work at the supermarket?

While many might think it’s a joke, perhaps you’ll pick up a bargain and wear it around M&S while shopping for yellow stickers.

It’s not the first time Lidl has sold a clothing range. Back in July, they sold branded t-shirts and bum bags in England, and I’ve also seen Christmas jumpers for sale in other countries.

One idea would be to not buy this range ;)
