Imagine a whole year with no worries about the cost of chicken. With the cost of living so high, any freebie is a win!

In a new scavenger hunt in Iceland stores, you win free chicken if you find their VIC (Very Important Chicks) Black Card.

You simply need to head to store and look out for the card.

Here’s everything you need to know.

The hunt is on!

Iceland has put a twist on the traditional lucky dip, and it’s all about chicken.

The supermarket chain is giving away a year’s supply of chicken to several lucky winners.

But there’s a catch – you have to find the hidden black card in one of their stores.

Inspired by the infamous Nando’s Black Card, Iceland’s Black Card is your passport to a year of free chicken.

So how do you get your hands on one?

Locating one of these hidden treasures is simpler than you might think.

Here’s what you need to do:

Visit an Iceland Store

The black card is hidden in various Iceland stores across the UK.

So, the first step is to pop into your local store.

Look around

Keep your eyes peeled for the black card.

It could be anywhere – on a shelf, in a freezer, hidden among the chicken nuggets.

You’ll have to wear your detective hat and search high and low.

Claim your prize

Once you’ve found the black card, take it to the checkout to claim your prize.

The store will validate your card and register it to your name.

Enjoy your winnings

With the card in your hand, you’re set to enjoy a year’s supply of chicken from Iceland.

Whether you love a good roast or are partial to a chicken curry, there’ll be plenty to satisfy your cravings.

With 215 frozen chicken products to choose from, you can get your fill for dinners.

Win on social instead

If you can’t make it to a store, they are also running a giveaway on Instagram.

You simply need to tag a “Very Important Chick” to nominate them to win a year’s free supply of chicken.

Is there a catch?

The only thing to really bear in mind is that there is a limit on how many cards Iceland are giving away.

Before you rush to the supermarket and start rummaging through the chicken nuggets, it’s important to know that there are just five cards up for grabs.

There is no clue where the cards have been hidden in the country, so it’s probably worth having a look about when you next shop, rather than planning a special scavenger hunting trip.

Essentially, the price is a £500 Iceland and The Food Warehouse Gift Card.

Rather than a card itself, you are looking for a takeaway-style chicken box, which contains the gift card.

The boxes will be hidden in stores until Saturday, 20 May 2023.
