Big changes are coming for eBay and Nectar point collectors! Starting from 1st September 2024, the way you collect and spend Nectar points on eBay is getting a major update.

Here’s everything you need to know:

What’s Changing?

From 1st September 2024, you won’t be able to collect or spend Nectar points directly on the eBay website or app.

Your Nectar and eBay accounts will be unlinked. But don’t worry, you can still earn Nectar points on your eBay purchases, just in a different way.

Instead of collecting points directly on eBay, you will need to shop through the Nectar website or app.

Simply search for eBay on the Nectar platform, click through to the eBay website or app, and make your purchase as usual.

Key Dates to Remember

The last day to collect Nectar points directly on eBay is 31st August 2024. After that, starting from 1st September 2024, you’ll need to shop through Nectar to earn points on eBay purchases.

While this change may seem significant, there is good news: you’ll earn 2 points for every £1 spent on eBay when shopping via Nectar, instead of the current 1 point per £1.

What About Existing Points and Vouchers?

Nectar Points

Don’t worry about your existing Nectar points! All the points you’ve collected on eBay will stay safe and sound in your Nectar account.

You can easily view and manage them by visiting Nectar.com or using the handy Nectar app.

eBay Vouchers

Have you converted your Nectar points into eBay vouchers? Great news! You can still use these vouchers until they expire.

Remember, each voucher is valid for 12 months from the date it was issued, so make sure to use them before they run out.

Conversion of Points

If you prefer converting your Nectar points into eBay vouchers, you have until 31st August 2024 to do so.

After this date, this option will no longer be available. So, take advantage of this opportunity while you can and get those vouchers ready for your shopping spree!

Additional Information

If you’re missing Nectar points for an eBay purchase, remember that points should be credited within 28 days of purchase.

If they haven’t appeared, contact eBay customer service for issues related to eBay transactions, or Nectar customer service for issues with your Nectar account.

You don’t need to take any action at this point. Just ensure you start shopping through Nectar from 1st September 2024 to continue earning points.

Oh great. More DE-incentivising by adding more hassle and stress onto the consumer.
    Nectar’s management is just moronic.
All I’ve seen in the past 15 years of being a Nectar customer, is just deincentivisation, a reduction in rewards, and Nectar backtracking on their own agreements.

I’ve seen them on multiple occasions now, try to wriggle out of Ebay Bonus points, by not giving out the points, and then upon complaint, they make out that ‘but those aren’t eligible purchases’, even though the rules did not state what wasn’t eligible. It seems they don’t understand what the word ‘ANY’ means when applied to their rule of ‘any item over £10’. If you do spend on items over £10,they now betray their promotional offer pledge, and try to wriggle out of paying out in bonus points.
What a way to turn allies into enemies. Nectar cannot be trusted. I’m very wary now of ANY Ebaypromotion that they boast about ( which is rare to see now, compared to say a few years ago ). I just know that they will screw me over in some way.

Also worth pointing out that your website is the first I’ve heard about this change.
Nectar never bothered to inform me, their customer via email about this.

Maybe to them I just am not worth even notifying about?. That’s my conclusion.
