According to The Sun, all KFC restaurants are running this freebie offer.
To get your free chips/fries you simply need to download the KFC app.
On Friday (23 November), head to any of their stores and open the app to the offers and rewards page.
Here, you’ll see the free fries option.
Just click on the offer and a QR barcode will appear. This will need to be scanned by the cashier.
You’ll then be able to walk away with free chips!
Easy peasy, hey :)
How does the KFC app work?
The KFC Colonel’s Club app allows you to get free rewards and offers.
All you need to do is scan it each time you get your KFC and you collect stamps.
You get one stamp when you spend over £3 and two stamps when you spend £15 or more.
As you save up the stamps you can get free sides, free snacks or £5 off your bill.
As a Brucey-bonus, if you sign up online for the Colonel’s Club you get one free stamp.
However, if you sign up directly in the app you get three points, which gives you two Hot Wings® for free to get you started!
KFC fries
Now there has been a lot of bad feedback on the KFC fries in the past.
They were limp, soggy, mostly cold and weren’t really worth it.
But…they’ve introduced some new ones!
They’ve obviously got so tired of being complained to that they’ve launched a new taller and wider chip. (They promise they still taste just as good in their gravy!)
The new KFC chips are made using the whole potato meaning they have the skin on – so there’s less waste. Plus they have fewer calories and fat per serving.
Even Love Food Hate Waste has commented saying that the potato is one of the most wasted foods.
They’ve said:
“With its skin-on fries, KFC is leading by example with less waste for its business and great taste for its customers.”
The new improved chips are available in all stores from 19 November 2018 – so make sure to download the app and go grab your freebie on Black Friday.
