Happy Halloween!
It’s a funny one in the UK. We look to our cousins across the pond and wonder what all the hype is about.
But we are still getting more and more wrapped up in it every year.
Having kids, we are going to go trick or treating. They love it (although one doesn’t like sweets and the other doesn’t like chocolate!)
I don’t know if it’s the dressing up, or getting free food, or walking around outside when it’s dark out, but they love everything about this spooky time of year.
Retailers know we are falling in love with Halloween and there’s clearly more scary stuff in shops, as well as the odd promotion popping up.
Free WHOPPER from Burger King
Burger King is loving Halloween too!
So much so that on Saturday 28 October, they are giving away free WHOPPER sandwich burgers.
I’m not clowning around!
Unfortunately, this isn’t going to be at all of their restaurants.
Scary Clown Night!
If you live or find yourself in Leicester Square in London then you have a shot at getting a free burger.
However, you need to dress up like a clown!
To be in with a chance, you need to show up at the London Leicester Square BURGER KING dressed as a clown between 7pm and 3am on Saturday 28 October.
They are giving away 500 burgers on a first come, first served basis (with one per person, even if your clown has a split personality).
What makes a good clown costume?
Well that seems up to the discretion of the restaurant.
Perhaps you think the McDonald’s clown is pretty scary? (Erm…he is a bit!)
If the staff don’t think your costume is good enough they won’t give you a free WHOPPER, so you need to make a bit of an effort.
There are no doubt going to be a few Halloween parties this weekend, so perhaps you’ve already got your clown costume sorted. If you turn up with just a red nose then you probably won’t get a burger.

When money is tight, but you still want to get involved with the Halloween spirit, take a look at some budget Halloween ideas.
