As of 31 July 2024, you will no longer be able to earn or redeem GAME Reward or GAME Elite points.
Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of your remaining points before they disappear.
GAME loyalty scheme ending
You will no longer be able to collect any points from 15 July 2024.
Points earned before this date will stay in your account until the loyalty scheme closes.
The last date to redeem your points is 31 July 2024.
You need to have a minimum of 400 points (worth £1) to redeem them on any purchase.
Points can be used on pre-orders, and they won’t be affected by the closure.
It wasn’t too long back that they ended their trade-in scheme, but there are other alternatives to make money on your unwanted games.
What happens to unused points
After the closing date, your points will reset back to zero, and the account will be closed.
To avoid losing your points, make sure to redeem them before 31 July 2024.
You can use your points on purchases either in GAME stores or online at game.co.uk.
Elite Membership
If you pay for your Elite membership monthly, the direct debit payment will stop in July 2024.
Your membership will expire either when your next payment would have been taken or by 15 July 2024, whichever comes first.
For annual members who paid for a 12-month membership up front, the membership will end on 31 July 2024 unless it naturally expires before then.
You will get a refund for any remaining months after the closure date.
Your final balance will be emailed to you on 16 July, or you can view it on the GAME Reward account online or in the GAME app.
Will I still get a refund in points?
If you bought an item with your reward points and decide to return the item, you will be given an e-voucher (or online purchases) or a physical gift card (for in store shops) instead of points.
If the product was part purchased using a credit or debit card the amount paid will be refunded to the card used to pay for the product.
What other loyalty schemes are there?
There are plenty of other loyalty cards out there and if gaming, the Nectar card for Sainsbury’s and argos may be a good option to keep earning points.
Or, if you’re not already, be sure to earn rewards from Microsoft Rewards for Xbox, Playstation Stars for Playstation and My Nintendo Gold Points for My Nintendo.
