Morrisons launches ‘Merry More Points’ Christmas reward: how to earn up to £20 back on your shopping

by Ricky Willis · updated 12 November 2025

Morrisons launches big Christmas points giveaway

Christmas is coming early for Morrisons shoppers. The supermarket has launched a new ‘Merry More Points’ scheme, giving loyal customers the chance to earn £20 worth of More Points in the run-up to Christmas.

Morrisons launches ‘Merry More Points’ Christmas reward

From 11 November until 14 December, anyone with a More Card can earn 20,000 More Points (equal to £20) by spending at least £50 in four out of five calendar weeks before Sunday 14 December.

Whether you do one big trolley shop or a few smaller ones, as long as you hit £50 in total for that week, it will count towards the reward.

How to take part

The offer is open to all Morrisons More Card customers, whether you use a physical card or the Morrisons app. That means millions of shoppers can join in and earn some extra cash towards their Christmas shop.

To take advantage of the offer:

  • Digital More Card users: Activate the Merry More Points scheme in the More Card app or scan the activation coupon printed on your receipt to make sure your spending is counted.
  • Physical More Card users: You’ll need to scan your activation coupon before Sunday 9 November to be included.

Once activated, you just need to spend £50 or more in four of the five weeks before 14 December, making sure to scan your card or app each time you shop.

Weekly Christmas surprises

As an added bonus, Morrisons will also be giving away weekly Christmas surprises in December to More Card holders who shop with them.

These include:

  • Extra More Points
  • Free festive treats
  • Money-off coupons
  • The chance to win your entire Christmas shop

It’s Morrisons’ way of adding a bit of fun (and savings) to the weekly shop.

Turning points into cash or charity

Alongside the Merry More Points bonus, customers will still earn five More Points for every item they buy.

Once you’ve reached 5,000 points, you can choose to keep saving or convert them into a Morrisons ‘Fiver’, which can be redeemed either in-store or online.

If you’d rather do some good this Christmas, you can also donate your points to Marie Curie, supporting families across the UK.

Part of Morrisons’ wider loyalty revamp

The Merry More Points promotion is part of Morrisons’ bigger push to make its loyalty scheme more rewarding. Recently, the supermarket brought back its popular 20% More Card discount on fish and meat counters after scaling back loyalty promotions earlier in the year.

By adding simple ways to earn cash back and festive rewards, Morrisons is clearly aiming to rival Tesco Clubcard and Sainsbury’s Nectar over the holidays.

Top tip:

You don’t need to chase every loyalty scheme out there, but if one gives you £20 back on your normal shop it’s worth a go.
