The boosted Nectar points offer runs until 4 June 2024 for in store and online shops.
For online shopping, you need to make sure any orders are delivered by this date.
How to take part

Not every Nectar member will be able to join in.
Sainsbury’s says it’s available to “millions” of customers, but it depends on certain criteria they’ve decided (perhaps how often you shop or how much you usually spend).
To see if you’re one of the lucky ones, simply open your Nectar app and look for a new tile showing the promotion.
If you can’t see it, ensure your app is up to date by downloading the latest version from the Apple or Google Play Store.
How does it work?
To get the bonus Nectar points, you need to manually “opt-in” for the promotion – and if you don’t, you won’t get any extra points.
In the Nectar app, choose to opt into the challenge.
You then need to spend £1 or more when doing your food shop, and you will automatically get extra points.
If you’re shopping online and haven’t already, be sure to link your Nectar card with your Sainsbury’s account to collect points.
How much can you earn?
The amount of extra points you can earn varies.
Shopping 5 times and spending £1 each time can earn you 900 points.
If you want, you can split your basket into individual transactions to receive the bonus all on the same day.
You’ll earn £4.50 for 900 points, so you’ll be down 50p, so only buy stuff you’ll only actually use up.
Use our free Nectar points calculator to see how your total balance is doing.
It all adds up!
Extra loyalty points
Sainsbury’s launched this promotion right after Tesco announced a similar scheme with their Clubcard Challenges.
In a similar way, Tesco’s promotion is only open to select customers, and the bonus Clubcard points should be given on things you’ll likely buy anyway.
You can earn up to £100 in Clubcard points to spend with their Reward Partners.
So, hopefully, you don’t need to spend money on things unnecessarily to tot those points up.
