Warm Home Discount for park home residents
The annual Park Homes Warm Home Discount Scheme for 2023/24 has been revealed by Charis, offering a helping hand to keep the chill at bay.
This initiative provides a £150 payment to eligible park home residents in England, Scotland, and Wales, helping to cover energy costs.
It’s a much-needed scheme, as there are around 110,000 park home addresses.
Many of these homes are owned by elderly and retired individuals, often managing on a tight budget, which makes this support an absolute lifesaver!
The scheme is a special arrangement for those who don’t have a direct account with an energy supplier but pay for their electricity usage to site owners.
This year, E.ON Next is funding the scheme.
Who is eligible?
If you permanently live in a park home, receive government support or benefits or have a household income below £18,723 (before tax and deductions), you meet the criteria.
The application can be made easily through an online portal.
Filling out the application should take about 15 minutes.
The funds are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the funds have run out, the scheme will close for this year.
If successful, the £150 payment will be made directly to your bank or building society by 31 March 2024.
The standard Warm Home Discount scheme changed last year for most people.
