Blue Light Card discount at Asda

Asda is bringing a big change to how Blue Light Card holders access their discounts.

Starting from 4th May, Blue Light cardholders will now be able to enjoy their 10% discount through Asda’s Rewards app.

Gone are the days of presenting your Blue Light Card and ID at the checkout.

With the new change, all you need to do is scan your Asda Rewards app at the checkout to receive your 10% discount and build up your Asda Cashpot rewards.

And if you scan your app in-store for the first time between 4th May and 31st May, you’ll receive a £2.50 bonus in your Cashpots, which will be deposited in June.

Asda’s move to integrate the Blue Light Discount into its Rewards app is a game-changer, making it easier than ever for cardholders to access discounts and save money on grocery bills.

Earn pounds with Asda Rewards

The Asda Rewards app is more than just a discount tool; it’s a way for all customers to earn pounds each time they purchase certain products or complete a milestone mission.

You build up money in “cashpots” that you can swap for vouchers to get money off when you next shop.

Over four million customers use the Rewards app monthly, accruing more than £70m in their Cashpots, which can be used to reduce their grocery bills.

Tom Dalby, CEO at Blue Light Card, expressed pride in the partnership with Asda and highlighted the £128 million saved by members since last May. With the 10% discount extension and the added benefits of the Rewards app, Blue Light Card holders can continue to save during the cost-of-living crisis.

Mark Baxter, Senior Director for Loyalty at Asda, emphasised that the Blue Light community can enjoy exclusive offers through the Asda Rewards app. By earning pounds and building their Cashpot, cardholders are rewarded for simply shopping at Asda.

What is a Blue Light Card?

The Blue Light Card is a nationally recognised scheme that provides various discounts for workers in the NHS, emergency services, social care sector, and armed forces.
