How does Sweet Sundays work?
You need to buy promotional packs of sweets or chocolates, and you’ll collect stars on the packs.
Then, head over to the Sweet Sundays site to redeem your stars, and you can claim a free cinema ticket.
You can get two free cinema tickets, but you must enter any codes you’ve picked up before 7 August 2019.
You’ve then got until 25 August 2019 to go to the cinema, which makes it a cheap day out over the summer holidays (plus a sweet treat to eat while watching a film)
What sweets/chocs do I need to buy?
Each pack allow you to collect stars.
You need to collect either 5 standard pouches with 2 stars each or 2 family/sharing bags (with 5 stars on each); you need 10 stars per free cinema ticket.
In most major supermarkets, as well as smaller convenience stores, you should be able to find promotional packs of:
- Maltesers buttons
- Galaxy Minstrels
- Galaxy Counters
- M&Ms (peanuts, choco, crispy and mix)
- Milky Way Magic Stars
- Revels
- Skittles (fruits, sours and chewies)
- Starburst (mini and original)
Supermarkets are running offers (like they do!), so you can get family sharing packs (196g) of Skittles for £1 each at Sainsbury’s or Morrisons. Grab two of the packs on offer, and that’s a free cinema ticket.
Alternatively, if you’re more of a chocolate fan, Revels (101g packs) are on offer across many supermarkets, including Morrisons and Asda selling them for £1 a pack, and Waitrose selling them for £1.50 each or two for £2.
Where’s the promo code?
You can find the Sweet Sundays promo code printed on the inside at the back of the sweet and chocolate packs.
You’re looking for a code, printed in red, with up to 10 letters and numbers.
Where can you use the free cinema tickets?
Once you’ve got enough stars saved up, you will be emailed a code for your chosen cinema (find your closest one here). The email will give you all the booking instructions.
The free ticket allows you to see a 2D film at cinemas, including:
- Cineworld
- Showcase
- Empire
- Picturehouse
- Moviehouse
- Scott
- Reel
- WTW
- Merlin
- Savoy
- G1
