Schuh Imperfects – shoes from £2.99 + hacks to save more!

by Naomi Willis · updated 24 March 2023

Schuh Imperfects is THE place to buy branded shoes for cheaper. You can pick up a pair from £2.99, but you can bring the costs down more.

Schuh Imperfects is a section of the schuh site where you can save up to 80% of the price of shoes!

They sell ex-display shoes of all kinds, so they are not pristine, but you can snap up brand-name shoes mega cheap.

There are nearly 2,000 odd pairs for women, men, kids, and infants on the site at the moment, with styles for everyone. As a schuh imperfects customer myself, I am very pleased with the bargains I’ve picked up over the years!

Head over and take a look at their epic sale or read on to find out how to save even more on bargain cheap shoes.

What brands are available?

So many brands are available at any time, from schuh’s own brand to Ugg, Dr Martens, Vans and more.

With some shoes, you can get savings of up to 80%, but you may also see lower savings of between 25 – 50% on others.

Here’s a small summary:

  • adidas
  • BIRKENSTOCK
  • Converse
  • Crocs
  • DC
  • Dr Martens
  • Havaianas
  • Hunter
  • Lacoste
  • LAUREN RALPH LAUREN
  • Lelli Kelly
  • Nike
  • SKECHERS
  • Timberland
  • UGG
  • Vans
  • victoria

What’s the catch?

I mean, there isn’t really one, as they’re clear from the start.

They spell out any issues you might have with a particular pair, and you get detailed photos of each one to show you can scuffs, marks, or damage (if any!) the shoe may have.

Stock is also limited. You may only get one size in a particular style you love, so it’s best to filter for exactly what you need rather than getting your hopes up.

You can’t buy them in store, so you have to make your mind up *solely* (sorry, not sorry) on the description and photos, so you have to opt for delivery or click and collect.

Some shoes do not come with an original box – but that’s just less recycling for you :)

And the final catch – because of the hefty discount, they don’t stay for sale very long as other thrifty shoppers want to snap up a bargain. When they’re gone, they’re gone!

How to save even more at Schuh Imperfects!

While getting heavily discounted shoes seems like a major win, you can save even more on top of their listed sale prices.

And, when you think about it, on top of getting bargain, you are helping to save the environment by helping prevent decent shoes from heading to landfill.

Blue Light Discount

As a Blue Light Card Member, you can save at hundreds of stores nationwide, and schuh is one of them!

It’s totally worth becoming a member; however, it’s limited to NHS, police, fire and pressure services.

Check out the Blue Light Card discounts list.

Student discount

As a student, you can get 10% off when shopping with schuh.

They’re not stingy with it and offer the student discount on both full range and sale items!

You either need to complete a form directly with schuh to get the discount or use a code from your UNiDAYS account.

Cashback

Cashback is always a bonus for any online shopping.

Most of the best cashback sites offer a percentage back when you shop with schuh.

Simply head to your favourite, click through, and shop as usual.

SCHUH CLUB

OK, you can’t get an immediate discount using the SCHUH CLUB loyalty scheme (you do get a £5 voucher when you sign up, but you cannot use it on ex-display).

However, you can earn points on your purchase. Those points can go on to get you money off vouchers, which is a great win.

Other places to get cheap shoes

There are few places to find brand-name cheap shoes online and on the high street.

Office Offcuts

The Office website has a subsection where they sell their ex-display stock, known as Offcuts.

They sell one-off pairs and even sell Office shoes cheaper than the main sale site!

Outlet villages

Keep offline and head to an outlet village.

You’ll find many stores offering a discounted range of out of season stock or ranges that never made it to the sale rack.

eBay outlets

There are many eBay stores where retailers sell reconditioned, refurbished or slightly damaged items in a similar way to schuh.

Take a look at the wide range of eBay outlets.

FAQs

Can I return Schuh Imperfects shoes?

Yes, you can return the shoes for a refund.

Shoes sold through the schuh imperfects section are one-offs. You won’t be buying a pair of shoes from a current range and each pair in there because of their individual quirks.

Therefore, you cannot exchange them for another if the size is wrong or if you want to change the colour or style.

However, you’ll still be able to get a refund of your money. Schuh offers a generous 365-day refund policy.

You can’t return the shoes to a store, but you can get a free online return if you are a My schuh account holder, or, if not, you’d have £2.50 deducted from your refund.

Can I earn loyalty points at schuh?

You can earn loyalty card points with schuh and earn them when buying from their ex-display range too.

Known as THE SCHUH CLUB, you get a £5 discount code when you first sign up (although the voucher is for full-priced items only).

You earn 1 point for every £1 you spend and get a £5 gift card when you reach 100 points.
