Get ready for a big night in – ok, ok, I know you might be sick of staying home, but here’s an excuse for pizza and movie night (popcorn optional).
Asda is running the “movie nights in” meal deal where you get two medium pizza, a big bottle of drink and you get a film voucher worth £5.49 thrown in for free.
Keep hold of your receipt – you’ll need it to claim your free online movie.
What’s included in the meal deal?
You’re able to pick up two medium pizzas, worth £3 each, and a bottle of drink, worth £2.10.
As it’s a £6 deal, you’re saving £2.10 on the food alone, which is a fairly decent price as it is. Then, you also get a free movie voucher worth £5.49 or a Vue cinema ticket.

How to claim the free Movie Nights In film
Once home, head to the movie nights in site.
You’re able to claim a Sky Store Online Movie Voucher or a Vue Cinema Ticket within 7 days of making your purchase (you don’t need to be a Sky customer to get the film).
To claim the movie, provide:
- your name – so they can identify you during the validation process
- a valid email address – they need this to send you your reward
- proof of purchase – a photo of your receipt. It must clearly show the purchase date and the pizza meal deal purchase which will display as “£6 Counters Deal” on your receipt
You can only use the receipt for one free movie.
If you want to buy multiple meal deals at the same time (maybe to freeze later), you need to put them through the till separately. You’re only able to get one movie voucher per receipt.
Once you’ve put in your claim, you will get an email with the voucher and instructions on how to use it within 2 days.
Although you don’t need to be a Sky customer to watch the film at home, when you need to redeem the voucher, you will need to sign up or sign in to the Sky Store to watch the movie online (or you can watch it via the Sky Store app).
The Sky Movies voucher is valid for 7 days, but once added to your account you have 12 months to use it.
The Vue Cinema voucher is valid for 14 days.
Anything else to know?
The deal is running in store only until 30 September 2022, so you’ve got plenty of time to take advantage of the offer.
As a reminder, you need to claim the free film within 7 days of the pizza meal deal purchase, but you can buy as many as you want.
£12 Extra Special meal deal
If you’ve spent a little more on a meal deal, it also comes with an extra treat – a Sky Store Online Movie Voucher worth £5.49.
It works for both in store and online purchases.
You have until 13 December 2022 to get the deal, and you have 7 days to claim the Sky Store Movie Voucher after you’ve made the purchase.

Hiya, you don’t need a code. On the receipt, it will show “£5 Counters Deal” and you need to upload a photo showing this.

What’s the point in calling a movie night in not gonna keep the pizzas for 48 hours am I , don’t get me wrong asda pizza are just out of this world but it’s not a night in really … should state that before people pay for this “deal”

Totally agree, bought the pizzas on Saturday and expected to be able to watch a movie same day. Also on the movie website it said the deal ended on the 25th May, but the sign was up today which is the 28th, so not even sure if my receipt is valid.. I’ll be complaining if that happens as why I purchased the deal.. What a rubbish stupid deal that you have to wait ..why not let you receipt be the code to watch straight away.. Wint be buying again.

Can’t be used with HD+ or Sky Q. Which virtually everyone has now. So it’s fairly useless.
Saved on the pizza alone, granted. But as a “movie night in” he’s fairly pants!
